Win4AddOn Pac

When you install the beta version you will have three desktop Icons: Win4Logbook, SolarPropagationMonitor and AudioRecorder.  Here is the manual for the database. https://va2fsq.com/wp-content/uploads/Win4AddOnPac.pdf

Make sure that if you import your existing log you first make a backup.

This is beta software.  Please provide any feedback at support dot va2fsq dot com.

If you wish to reload any ADIF file that you have, you should just delete the database file (as shown in your settings) and re-import it.

When adding a record to a New database that has no records, it was somewhat confusing.  In this release, when you click on Add it will open the Add screen and you can immediately start entering a record without pressing New.

This release has two new options in the Tools, Settings, General section to upload QSO’s automatically to LOTW and ClubLog when you create a new record

This release gives a new icon on the desktop Win4Logbook.  There is no longer a SQLDemo.exe shortcut.

A few people mentioned that the QRZ button in the logbook was not working.  I believe this is an issue where I used the wrong .NET build for the software.  Please let me know if this is fixed.

0.94-beta

This is a new release of the AddOnPac beta, version 0.94-beta. Performance improvements have resulted in acceptable performance with up to 1,000,000 records although for best results keeping the log at less than 200,000 is much better.

0.92-beta

This is a new release of the AddOnPac beta, version 0.92-beta.  This version has vastly improved performance for loading ADIF files and deleting multiple records.

The previous release would take upwards of 10 hours to load 50,000 QSO’s.  This release will upload 50,000 QSO’s in about 4 seconds with an additional 6 seconds to update indexes and triggers in the database.  Some for deleting multiple records.  There will be additional performance improvements in other functions going forward.

Currently there is one known issue concerning callsign lookup in QRZ when you do NOT have a QRZ subscription:  The callsign will not be found but it should load anyways.
